color me navajo nation

I absolutely hands down love playing dress up with my models .. throwing a concept together based on perhaps 1 accessory. Synchronicity, The Law of Attraction and Manifestation, played a big role in my impulsive shopping & the items found though at the time I have no idea why i’m gravitated towards them somehow each represent a piece of my stage & no longer felt like impulsive but rather instinctive. Missing link most likely is the certain model that must represent the particular story. In this case I was shopping one day…well like I do so many days but this time I found a girl while at PacSun that I knew immediately was the perfect fit for my Navajo Nation girl. In the past I would never pronounce what I do & “excuse me, would you model for me.” But just like my impulsive shopping I jumped at the opportunity to introduce myself & see if she would be willing. Thrill of it all is watching it all come together. Pieces signifying there was a definite reason why I wouldn’t put the hair piece down at the mall or why feathers have been constantly on my mind. Or the fact that while sitting on my couch to enjoy my 5 minutes of TV because I rarely sit…one day I just decided I have 3 Pier1 bamboo sticks & 1 colorful blanket so today is the day I will make a TeePee. Over the course of a couple months I finally get to enjoy the summer light & a willing model. Not only did I choose the right model, Deena comes prepared with MAC body paint as opposed to my Hot Topic thin paint. Combining wardrobe & accessories we seemed to be on the same page! BONUS… she’s a Makeup Artist for MAC. ThankU Deena! You are appreciated & much love to you for helping my vision come to life.. And Deena has the most amazing sparkling brown eyes against the blue sky I have ever seen!
