About a month ago, I get a call from Becky; a mom pulling together her daughters wedding in 4 weeks! Given that I love all my clients & this was a direct referral from one of my all time fav brides, Trina… I said yes.. I am down & able to do your daughters wedding. She was relieved & I wasn’t even a bit anxious about not having met the bride & groom at all before the wedding day. Having said this, by no way does this mean I don’t like meeting prior to the big day. Engagement sessions, countless phone, text, email conversations .. all the preparation leading to the big day I LOVE!
I arrive to this spectacular property … a home waiting to host a beautiful wedding! The home belongs to the brides parents. SO eager to meet the family, I walk in like i’m home….. I was told to go right in

Allyson & Floyd, it was my pleasure being a part of your intimate wedding!! Allyson expressed at the end of the evening how nervous she was to meet her photog; I couldn’t tell.. i was too transfixed on her dainty lil flowers in her perfectly loose waves. I had landed right where I needed to be on August 27, 2010 ….enjoying the last of the sun & embracing the afterglow of the sunset with an expressive bride & a cool calm collected groom. Sweet combination!!!

Setting the tone for my future WPPI Las Vegas Convention trip at MGM February 17-24 2011… is The WPPI Road Trip Seattle. at The Marriott Seattle starring Jasmine Star … I’m completely head over heels for this girl. Check her website & you’ll see why. So i’ve been following her blog for a while & then one day I sign up to follow her thru an online LIVE broadcast of a wedding done right here in Seattle! I can hear the rain LIVE & literally look out my window as I am editing seeing the same light that Jasmine Star is factoring in for her wedding couple, Laura & Billy. Laura, by the way is a photographer herself!

Day 3 of Creative Live.. Friday is here.. I’m watching every moment until I leave for my wedding with Floyd & Allyson. Not wanting to miss any chance of watching her in action I return home after completing my wedding & although not LIVE at 11 pm, I stay up til 3am watching the RErun. I was transfixed .. watching her passion go to work. Knowing I feel that intense yet anticipated moment as the bride walks down the aisle, Jasmine takes a deep breath & I find myself taking it with her.. you can feel the raw emotion. This is why I love what I do. There will never be another tomorrow like there is today and its my job to isolate that moment in time.

So I’m at WPPI road trip yesterday & …although I don’t want to admit i’m starring at Jasmine & JD walking right past me, I say to my girlfriend… “I’m never going to meet Jasmine” Tresha, you are a gem btw.. she says, “say the opposite.. you will meet Jasmine” At this point after watching the LIVE wedding broadcast via web I feel I could befriend her so at the end of the seminar I did it.. I got the nerve to approach her to say hello. Except I say .. “Jamine, you are my photog crush” & i must’ve talked a mile a minute explaining how I am in a crossroads & by watching her at work & listening to her genuine voice I am convinced now I see the light at the end of the tunnel.

We all don’t have the same path, but we all have an inner voice. Tune into that intuition & you may surprise yourself! Jasmine is thankful, heartfelt & GENUINE & that’s why she is a STAR.. i’m the twinkling lil light waiting for my moment & every opportunity I have to show you what I can do I will take full advantage of that.

No, this is not Jasmine, but another light in my eyes, Tresha. During break, you could’nt help but notice the amazing light flooding thru this hallway at the Marriott. I would love to do a wedding here someday!!!!

Courtney you rocked that wrecking yard .. i didn’t know you would have an audience but for a wednesday ..you made the employees of BUDGET Truck Wrecking “hump day” that much easier to get thru the rest of their work week.. i don’t know if this is a good thing or bad thing but in any case you should feel as beautiful as the camera sees you! You’re ability to allow yourself to let go & showcase your stella mustang will prove rewarding. You upstaged the car …. Nicely done!!

Mini sessions are always a great creative release! Combine them with girlfriends and you have a day 10x better than shopping or endulging in a BIG piece of chocoate cake. Em is a dear old family friend…. we go back a decade or more. Our favorite past time was shopping & sharing clothes! I do miss this!! She now lives 5 hours from me so this was a day of dressup & photography… my favorite combination.

KatyJo rockin the skates for me … a mere 2 sizes too small at that! I wanted a sunskissed golden girl & she’s it! Any chance I can take adantage of light & a new lens i’m up for the challenge. Recently added the Canon EF 50 1.2 L USM lens to my collection & proved to be powerful.. Katy sparkles & glows in front of the camera!

You may recognize Trina featured on my main site at the Newcastle for her wedding two years ago. With every session we have…she continues to make me smile & i love her that much more (If that is possible). Trina ia as beautiful inside as she is on the outside!!

Officially my favorite mountain & ski destination in Washington State…. indeed a very picturesque venue for a wedding! Had I known it was possible to be married at the top of Crystal Mountain , I would’ve done the same! Lucky for me it’s a short 40 minutes away! & very lucky for me to have been chosen to share this day with Kristen & Beau…
they kissed & kissed & kissed .. awwww so cute! They couldn’t have picked a better day … though the view at the top was a bit hazy ..nevertheless still breathtaking!! Details were simple & pure with a touch of vintage just as unique & amazing as the Bolsenga’s!!

Charming Nick & bubbly Jennifer made for a sweet photoshoot! To be married October 23rd, 2010! Fall wedding in Seattle… can’t wait!
